INVISIBLE TRAINS BY JEFF YOUNG AND PAUL MCGHEE
‘Invisible Trains’, Jeff Young’s collaboration with composer Paul McGhee and Liverpool’s new music ensemble Immix is a site specific response to Liverpool’s Edge Hill, the world’s oldest passenger railway station. Commissioned as part of a season of work around the September 29th performance of Steve Reich’s ‘Different Trains’ the piece is a series of memories of sad goodbyes and sweet farewells, and glimpses of ghosts hopefully waiting for the departed to return.
